VQA advises parents on enrollment



The Governing Statutory body established to assured the quality of education and training in Vanuatu, especially the Post – School Education and Training, the Vanuatu Qualifications Authority (VQA) advises the parents who seek to enroll their children in any institution in Vanuatu, to enroll their children in courses accredited by the Vanuatu Qualifications Authority Board.

Under the VQA act No. of 2017, VQA is mandated to ensure a quality assured post-school education and training (PSET) through the registration of training providers and accreditation of PSET programs or courses.

VQA works closely with the industry and the institutions to ensure that the courses being delivered are accredited, which means that :

  • They are developed using the National Competency Standards that are developedT in collaboration with industry, that way students graduate with skills that meet the industry needs,
  • Are aligned appropriately with the Vanuatu Quality Assurance Framework and that enables the registered training provider (RTP) to issue nationally recognized post-school education and training qualifications,
  • They facilitate pathways to other qualifications in Vanuatu or in the Pacific region.
  • Qualifications are recognized and are sealed "officially accredited"

VQA also advises all institutions that are not registered yet to contact the VQA staff and start the procedures so that they can also have their courses accredited.
