The Vanuatu Qualifications Authority is seeking to employ a full-time employee, male or female for this position:

Position Title: Assistant CEO - Quality Assurance & Compliance

Salary: (Ps 9.1) 3,408,300 annual 
Job Location: Vanuatu Qualifications Authority, Port Vila

Selection Criteria

Applicants will be assessed according to the following criteria:

  1. Qualifications:
    • Masters  or Post Graduate 

  2. Business Education:
    • Education, Policy, Quality Assurance in Higher Education 

  3. Experiences:
    • 5 years experiences in a management level in Post-School Education and Training
    • Experiences in policy and procedure development
    • Experience of quality assurance policies and practices
    • Experiences in indicating support and conducting of training
    • Experiences in advising and managing of resources
  4. Special skills:
    • Knowledge of the operation of PSET system and the National PSET Qualifications Framework
    • Demonstrate ability to develop collaboratively with providers and stakeholders the features of the quality assurance system, requirements and qualifications framework
    • Knowledge and ability in providing the CEO and the VQA Board robust advice on policies and operational processes
    • Capability to articulate to providers and stakeholders clearly and with sensitivity the regulatory quality assurance requirements of the Authority 
    • Meticulous management skills so as to administer in a robust manner quality assurance requirements and processes, including VQAF together with the ability to make difficult decisions
    • Knowledge of the wide scope of Post-School Education and Training both locally and internationally 
    • Knowledge of all relevant legislation and strategic documents governing the VQA operations mainly the quality assurance requirements
    • Demonstrate the ability to effectively plan, develop, lead and manage resources
    • High level of policy analysis, planning and strategic advisory skills
    • Computer literate
    • Driving licence
