The VQA staff members join with the whole ministry of Education and Training (MoET) to welcome its new DG and Directors during the first Morning Prayer Breakfast of this year 2019 at the MoET compound.

The Ministry of Education and Training (MoET) organised the first Morning Prayer Breakfast of 2019 onMonday 11 February 2019 at the MOET conference room. It is a quarterly event where all staff members of the MoET including its departments, gather together for a morning devotion followed by speeches from the Minister of Education and Training and a breakfast.

This year, the first Morning Prayer breakfast is particularly interesting as it does not only gathers the staff members for the blessing of the annual work plan, but also to welcome the new Director General, Mr Bergmans Iati, and the Directors: Mr Samuel Katipa, Director of Education Services, Mr Serge Lewawa, Director of Policy and Planning, Mr John Gideon, Director of Administration and Finance, and Mrs Ann Rose Tjiobang, Director of Tertiary and High Education Training.

The Minister of Education and Training, Mr Jean Pierre Nirua, said in his speech that he trusted the newly appointed directors and the DG for directing their staff members in achieving the goals of the National Sustainable Development Goals by 2030.

It is the first time in the history of the Ministry of Education of Vanuatu that a woman takes up the position of director.
