Paula Johnston joined VQA on February 2020 as Skills and Qualifications Recognition Consultant. Paula will be working closely with the VQA Skills and Recognition officer, Lesbeth Jimmy, to design and implement a system for recognition of prior learning for Vanuatu’s post-school education and training system.
Paula works as a self employed consultant, specialising in vocational and international education with extensive experience in Australia and India. She leads policy projects, focusing on strategy, stakeholder engagement and communication elements. She was previously International Engagement Director at the Australian Council of Private Education and Training.
Paula typically works with government agencies and their stakeholders. Recent clients include the Australian Skills Quality Authority, Study Queensland and the Australia India Institute.
